Two new skin healthy issues put information directly into patients’ hands
Winter, summer editions were full of useful tips.

Since the last update, the Academy published two new issues of skin healthy magazine.
skin healthy provides expert editorial content on common conditions affecting the skin, hair, and nails, and up-to-date recommendations on keeping skin healthy year-round. skin healthy ultimately positions board-certified dermatologists as the experts in skin, hair, and nails. AAD members received 50 copies of each issue and were encouraged to place them in their waiting rooms for patients to read.
The winter 2024 issue featured the expertise of 22 members in 12 articles on a variety of topics, including conquering acne, how to manage contact dermatitis, and creating an ideal skin care plan for your age. It featured an article about Camp Discovery, which featured perspectives from parents and Camp medical staff and encouraged parents to sign their children up. It also included an infographic about when to throw away makeup.
The summer 2025 issue featured the expertise of 17 members in 12 articles, with topics including preventing a rosacea flare-up, what to expect at a full-body skin exam, and warning signs for heart disease that may appear on your skin. It featured an article showcasing the AAD’s public social media efforts which highlighted the Your Dermatologist Knows Social Media Correspondents. It also included an infographic about microneedling.
