Academy Councils, Committees, and Task Forces

Get involved in setting the strategic direction of the Academy by joining a Council, Committee, or Task Force.

Academy Advisory Board

The AB deliberates on members’ proposed resolutions, and if approved, proposes them to the Academy's Board of Directors for consideration.

Academic Leadership Program

Advise young faculty members and help guide them through the early stages of teaching dermatology to students.

An Academy teledermatology program that allows volunteer dermatologists to provide care to underserved populations.

Camp Discovery

Volunteer your time with the AAD’s summer camp program and help children with skin diseases.

Health Volunteers Overseas

Native American Resident Rotation

Participate in a one- to two-week rotation where residents provide dermatologic care to the Navajo Nation population.

Resident International Grant

Participate in a four- to six-week elective in Gaborone, Botswana, where residents take part in dermatologic HIV care of children and adults.

Shade Structure Program

Sponsor public schools and non-profit organizations in need of shade structures for outdoor locations that are not protected from the sun.

Skin Care for Developing Countries Grant

The AAD offers grants to individuals and organizations to fund international volunteer and humanitarian projects.
