2022 AAD Annual Meeting: Unparalleled educational experiences

The 2022 Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology took place in Boston in March. This was the first live AAD Annual Meeting since 2019, the largest dermatology meeting in the world, and an event that has perennially showcased the depth and breadth of dermatology in all its broad topics and fascinating minutiae.

Over 15,000 registrants showed up at the Boston Convention & Exposition Center to take in the Academy’s rich and varied offerings, including more than 7,500 medical personnel, including 3,000 members, and more than 2,000 residents/fellows, many of whom were both grateful and excited while experiencing their very first AAD meeting. In addition, over 1,900 non-medical personnel were in attendance.

The Annual Meeting showcased more than 1,000 expert speakers covering over 300 sessions. The comprehensive program featured a host of favorites such as Hot Topics, What’s New in Dermatology, live/hands-on demonstrations, and four new Late Breaking Research symposiums, among others. New sessions, like the 2022 Debates: Controversies in Dermatology and COVID-19 Dermatology and Vaccines, experienced strong attendance and generated positive feedback from attendees.

Here's what 2022 AAD Annual Meeting attendees had to say...

I have been coming to these meetings since 1984. The educational sessions are always rich, but the accessibility to the speakers after the presentation and meeting with colleagues to discuss what we've heard, as well as our own challenge in case, it's what raises the meeting to a must do.

It felt like AAD again and I’ve missed it. This was great from both an academic and social standpoint. Loved the collegiality of my peers.

Absolutely. Loved every session. So glad to be back in person!!!
