Goals and objectives for module
The purpose of this module is to help medical students develop a clinical approach to the evaluation and initial management of HIV-positive patients presenting with skin disease.
After completing this module, the learner should be able to:
Identify and describe the morphology of the dermatologic conditions presented in this module
Discuss the relationship between the level of immune suppression and the skin diseases seen in HIV-positive individuals
Discuss the importance of highly active antiretroviral therapy in the treatment of skin conditions in patients living with HIV/AIDS
