The Leadership Forum is a highly interactive weekend that provides an opportunity to advance your leadership and communication skills while networking with colleagues and Academy leaders. Energetic and informative speakers cover topics including:
- Setting vision and strategy.
- Communicating effectively.
- Increasing self-awareness.
- Team building.
You also will have the opportunity to take the Myers-Briggs personality assessment and learn how to leverage your personality type to become a stronger leader.
If selected, the Academy will cover your travel expenses and accommodations, and provide meals on-site for this event. The Leadership Forum will take place April 13-15, 2012 in Phoenix.
Eligibility
- Must be a member of the AAD in good standing.
- Must have eight years or less since completing residency/fellowship training.
- Must have completed residency training in dermatology.
- Must not have attended a Leadership Forum in the past.
- Only U.S./Canadian travel to the on-site meetings is reimbursed.
Applications
- The application for the 2012 Leadership Forum is now closed. Applications for the 2013 program will be open in July 2012.
- In preparation for your 2013 application, please note that in addition to your completed application, you also must submit the following:
- An executive curriculum vitae (limit of no more than three pages).
- One letter of recommendation from an individual who can speak to your professional commitment.
