2024 Legislative Conference: Program and agenda
Conference schedule
The conference will take place on Sunday, September 8 through Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at the J.W. Marriott in Washington, D.C. The program will contain policy-focused sessions, designed to offer an in-depth understanding of how to translate the issues that affect the specialty into effective lobbying of your members of Congress on the final day of the conference. Sessions will involve didactic discussions and hands-on training from political and policy experts, AADA staff, and experienced member advocates.

Welcome remarks, mentorship activities, and keynote speaker.
Conference check-in will begin at 3 p.m. ET and the first activity is tentatively planned for 4 p.m. ET.

Overview of advocacy issues, honing your message for Capitol Hill, and guest speaker.
Tuesday, September 10, 2024
Meetings on Capitol Hill. The AADA will arrange and schedule all meetings on your behalf.
To take advantage of a full business day, we recommend booking your return journey for no earlier than 5 p.m. ET.
All activities on Tuesday will be at the Sonoma Restaurant and Wine Bar (In the heart of Capitol Hill)
There will be an AADA shuttle from the J.W. Marriott to Sonoma Restaurant from approximately 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. ET. Attendees can use Sonoma Restaurant as a home base during their Hill meetings. Luggage storage will be available at the Sonoma Restaurant.
