Anne's personal story

Spot Logo
I had a basal cell cancer removed from my face about 15 years ago. In early 2013, I was diagnosed with a melanoma on my back. The spot and the area around it were removed surgically. The margins were clear, so the melanoma is gone.

I have a small "saber scar" on my back that is almost fully healed now. It doesn't bother me that I have the scar. I have my health and am pleased with my treatment and cure.

I have gone to the dermatologist yearly since the basal cell was removed and am glad I have done that regularly. The melanoma was tiny and thin, caught by a physician's assistant who is very good at catching these things. I am grateful for her expertise and good eyesight. It has been quite a ride!
