Camp Discovery for kids


Camp Discovery offers children living with a chronic skin condition a one-of-a-kind camp experience.

Provided at no cost to the families, Camp Discovery is one week of fun for kids with conditions ranging from eczema and psoriasis, to vitiligo and alopecia, to epidermolysis bullosa and ichthyosis.

2021 Virtual Camp Discovery

Camp Discovery will be virtual again this summer! With the wonderful support from Camp Knutson, our Minnesota camp partner, we are so excited to bring Camp Discovery to our amazing campers.

2021 Camp Discovery dates

June 21-23: Ages 8-11 (calls will be in the morning), ages 12-16 (calls will be in the afternoon)
June 24: Young adult retreat for those ages 16-18
July 19-21: Ages 8-11 (call will be in the afternoon), ages 12-16 (calls will be in the morning)
July 22: Young adult retreat for those ages 16-18

About Camp Discovery

Camp Discovery offers kids living with skin disease a one-of-a-kind experience. Every summer, the AAD sponsors six weeks of camp in five locations where everyone can experience activities such as fishing, horseback riding, and just plain fun!

Camp Discovery referral form

To attend Camp Discovery, a dermatologist must first refer the child to the AAD for admission. Simply download the camper referral form and submit it back to the AAD by email/fax.
