Camp Discovery for kids
2020 Virtual Camp Discovery
Virtual Camp Discovery 2020 has come to an end and those who participated had a wonderful time seeing old friends, playing games, making slime, signing songs, and capturing a little of that camp magic. In all, we offered five weeks of camp and six afternoon events. In total over 100 campers participated!
Camp Discovery offers children living with a chronic skin condition a one-of-a-kind camp experience.
Provided at no cost to the families, Camp Discovery is one week of fun for kids with conditions ranging from eczema and psoriasis, to vitiligo and alopecia, to epidermolysis bullosa and ichthyosis.
Explore Camp Discovery
Camp Discovery offers kids living with skin disease a one-of-a-kind experience. Every summer, the AAD sponsors six weeks of camp in five locations where everyone can experience activities such as fishing, horseback riding, and just plain fun!
To attend Camp Discovery, a dermatologist must first refer the child to the AAD for admission. Simply download the camper referral form and submit it back to the AAD by email/fax.
The success of AAD's Camp Discovery depends on dedicated dermatologists, nurses, and counselors who volunteer their time to ensure that the medical needs of each camper are met.
