First sign of pre-diabetes may appear on skin

A patch of darker, thicker, velvety-feeling skin can be a sign of pre-diabetes. If you notice this change to your skin, you should see your doctor. With help, you may be able to prevent pre-diabetes from progressing to diabetes.
