Head lice: Effective treatment available

Some head lice are surviving treatment. The type of treatment that you can buy without a prescription, that is.

If you see crawling lice after finishing treatment, you should see a dermatologist. In the past 3 to 5 years, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved different treatments for head lice. These treatments are effective and easier to use. But they require a prescription.
