Learning Objectives:
Following this course, the attendee should be able to:

  • Apply accurate coding principles
  • Describe the documentation that you must include in your records
  • Discuss how changes mandated by implementation of EHR will affect your practice

The challenges to support one's practice and maintain accurate record keeping continues to grow. Our goal is to highlight the commonly misunderstood elements of coding and documentation and provide solutions. Our expert faculty will share their knowledge and experience to assist the dermatologist to better comprehend the meaning and application of CPT codes in medical and surgical environments. We will also explore the impact of the mandated use of electronic health records and the potential impact of the Affordable Care Act on Dermatology as well as share personal experiences in office management.
