F137 - Updates in the Use of Ancillary Techniques to Diagnose, Stage, and Determine the Prognosis of Melanocytic Lesions
Monday, February 19; 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Following this course, the attendee should be able to:
- Diagnose difficult melanocytic lesions better through ancillary techniques.
- Appropriately order or ask for those ancillary methodologies and explain them to the patient.
The session will cover the use of ancillary methodologies in order to stage, diagnose and prognosticate melanocytic lesions.
This will include but is not limited to immunohistochemistry, fluorescence in situ hybridization, comparative genomic hybridization, gene sequencing, and molecular algorithms for diagnosis and prognosis.
- Phelps, Robert G., MD: sanofi-aventis – C(Fees);
- Singh, Rajendra, MD: no financial relationships exist with commercial interests.
