F053 - Advanced Dermoscopy

Saturday, February 17; 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Learning Objectives

Following this course, the attendee should be able to:

  • Differentiate among pigmented skin lesions on specific body sites
  • Analyze the dermoscopic morphology of regressive, amelanotic and spitzoid-looking tumors
  • Manage morphologically doubtful lesions efficiently, in order to minimize the risk of missing a malignant tumor

Description

This session will cover some of the most challenging topics in the field of skin cancer diagnosis. Participants will learn the dermoscopic morphology of pigmented lesions on specific sites and diagnostic strategies to differentiate among them. Morphologic grey zones will also be discussed and diagnostic and management rules will be introduced. All the presentations will include numerous cases from the clinical practice, facilitating the understanding of the suggested strategies and enhancing attendees to learn how to apply them.
