Learning Objectives

Following this course, the attendee should be able to:

  • Choose proper flap design for common and uncommon Mohs defects
  • Refine execution of island pedicle flaps, advancement and rotation flaps, interpolated flaps, bilobed and trilobed flaps, and tunneled and transposed flaps.
  • Improve techniques for wound closure in periocular areas, ear, nose, and other facial areas

Description

Techniques for Flap Success will help beginning and advanced surgeons (1) choose the appropriate flap for a defect (2) execute flap design for optimal functional and cosmetic result (3) understand tissue movement and undermining for selected flaps (4) implement new flap designs into everyday practice.
