Learning Objectives

Following this course, the attendee should be able to:

  • Identify pathways to global health careers
  • Diagnose and treat skin disease relevant to dermatology in global health settings
  • Identify research projects in dermatology and global health

Description

Dermatologic disease know no boundaries and represents some of the most burdensome disease on the globe. To remain relevant as a field in medicine, our specialty must keep current on issues within our field. Not only is it important to identify and treat dermatologic disease on the global front but it is imperative to continue the training, research and clinical programs throughout the world. This Forum will provide a forum in which hot topics of global interest are presented. It will provide a forum for researchers and clinicians working in global settings so that their work can be can displayed as an example of excellence in medicine. Lastly, this Forum will provide information on pathways for those members of the AAD who want to pursue global dermatology as a career.
