U074 - Challenging Cases of Dermoscopy: An Interactive Session

Monday, February 19; 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM

Learning Objectives

Following this course, the attendee should be able to:

  • Use dermoscopy more confidently.
  • Recognize important and new dermoscopic signs of various tumors.
  • Distinguish the main vascular structures associated with skin tumors.

Description

Dermoscopy has become an essential tool for every dermatologist. Over the last 15 years, I had the privilege to teach dermoscopy at various local and international meetings and I find that dermatologists love interactive case sessions. This type of sessions is helping them to gain confidence in using this diagnostic tool. I expect dermatologists to recognize more than 70% of the tumors presented and increase their use of the dermoscope in the future. This activity has been approved by the American Board of Dermatology (ABD) for up to 10 MOC Component 2 Self-Assessment points. For more information about MOC, please visit the ABD website at www.abderm.org.
