U058 - "You May Not Have Seen It, but It Has Seen You": Commonly Missed Diagnoses in Dermatology

Sunday, February 18; 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM

Learning Objectives

Following this course, the attendee should be able to:

  • Diagnose skin disease more effectively
  • Recognize relevant systemic associations with these conditions

Description

Just because you haven't seen a condition doesn't mean that It hasn't seen you! This session will highlight both commonly missed diagnoses as well as commonly misdiagnosed conditions within the pediatric and adult dermatology populations. It is directed to general dermatologists and pediatric dermatologists who have patient care responsibilities. The goal is to provide practical clinical pearls in order to differentiate between mimickers and to identify dermatologic conditions that otherwise may go undiagnosed.
