Learning Objectives

Following this course, the attendee should be able to:

  • Discuss how measurement of patient experience impacts quality of care
  • Summarize how residents can impact quality improvement efforts
  • Identify the pros and cons of utilizing teledermatology in quality improvement

Description

Resident-initiated quality improvement projects impact the quality of care in dermatology practice long after graduation. Practice improvement activities underway by the 2017 “AAD Excellence in Patient Care” award winners will be presented. TED-style talks by faculty will explore real world examples of QI successes and failures, the impact of patient experience on quality of care, and how teledermatology can be utilized to improve care delivery. This activity has been approved by the American Board of Dermatology (ABD) for up to 30 MOC Component 2 Self-Assessment points.
