- Apply the knowledge acquired to maximize diagnostic yield and avoid medicolegal pitfalls.
This basic session is intended for practitioners of dermatology who would like to maximize the results of their biopsies, enhancing diagnostic yield and efficiency while avoiding dreaded medicolegal pitfalls. The session director is both a dermatologist and dermatopathologist who will use an interactive, case-based presentation to illustrate how common practices on the part of both dermatologists and dermatopathologists can hinder clinicopathologic correlation and cause delays in diagnosis and treatment. The attendee will learn tips and tricks for maximizing CPC as well as refreshing his/her knowledge of common differential diagnoses in dermatopathology.
