Following this course, the attendee should be able to:

  • Prepare for the impact of ObamaCare on your dermatology practice
  • Recognize alternative responses to upcoming changes mandated by ObamaCare

Provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA, ObamaCare) will profoundly affect all dermatologists, not only as physicians but also as employers or employees, taxpayers, researchers, and even as patients themselves. We will explore the revenue and expenditure aspects of this Act and examine how the implementation of insurance exchanges, accountable care organizations, and the Independent Payment Advisory Board will affect your practice. We will discuss how the Academy is assisting you in preparing for and responding to the financial and other challenges imposed by the ACA.
