Following this course, the attendee should be able to:
- Identify the components of professionalism that impact the reputation of a practice of dermatology.
- Discuss how negative perceptions can harm a practice.
- Develop strategies to overcome negative perceptions.
Perceptions of dermatology hurt our specialty and our practices. These perceptions include such things as professionalism, access, and even how hard we work. This session will delve into these perceptions and what actions we can take in our practices and communities to provide a positive view of individual practices and the specialty.
