Learning Objectives:
Following this course, the attendee should be able to:

  • Diagnose and stage mycosis fungoides according to the 2007 WHO classification system.
  • Use additional clinical, laboratory and epidemiologic criteria to modify prognosis beyond formal staging criteria.
  • Formulate treatment plans individualized for patients incorporating formal staging and supplementary prognostic information.

This session features several brief presentations on the diagnosis, staging and management of mycosis fungoides and Sezary syndrome, followed by discussion periods in seminar format. The didactic presentations will address clinical and laboratory findings that affect prognosis beyond formal staging parameters. Case presentations are incorporated to illustrate practical approaches to both simple and complex diagnostic and management issues.
