Learning Objectives:
Following this course, the attendee should be able to:

  • Apply photodynamic therapy for field cancerization in healthy elderly and immunosuppressed patients
  • Combine PDT with other field therapies for treatment optimization and enhancement
  • Select appropriate PDT candidates and set therapeutic goals

Description:
Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a useful modality for field cancerization in elderly as well as high risk immunosuppressed patients. This session will assess PDT efficacy as a single modality and further evaluate combination protocols involving PDT and other field therapies. New algorithms for potentiating and optimizing PDT outcomes in medical and aesthetic dermatology will be examined.
