Psoriasis: Recommendations for oral PUVA photochemotherapy

  • Systemic psoralen plus ultraviolet A is indicated for adults with generalized psoriasis who are resistant to topical therapy.
  • PUVA treatment is contraindicate in patients with known lupus erythematosus, porphyria, or xeroderma pigmentosum.
