PQRS downward adjustment notification

On September 19, CMS gave notice that they will begin distributing letters to all PQRS eligible providers (EPs) regarding the status of the 2 percent downward adjustment for 2018 (based on 2016 reported data). If you have received the downward adjustment, review your options below.

  • If DataDerm submitted your practice data for PQRS in 2016, the Academy can only provide you with the confirmation email in which CMS accepted your data. DataDerm has no influence in reversing a CMS decision.
    • If you would like a copy of the confirmation email that CMS accepted your data from DataDerm, please email dataderm@aad.org with your 6 digit practice ID or name.
      • Emails received without a practice ID or practice name will result in us being unable to provide your confirmation.
      • We cannot provide you confirmations over the phone.
    • If DataDerm did not submit data for you in 2016, please contact the vendor that submitted for you.
  • If you are looking for information on how to view your Quality and Resource Use Report (QRUR), which shows information regarding your performance and adjustment decision according to CMS, please review this CMS web page. Be sure to create an account prior to submitting any informal review requests.

  • If you have reviewed your QRUR, and believe you were given a downward adjustment in error, you can submit an informal review directly to CMS via their web-based tool on their Quality Reporting Communications Support Page.
    • The deadline to submit your informal review request is within 60 days of the official September release date of your 2016 feedback reports. You will be reminded of the deadline from the CMS listserv.
