Quality reporting for non-physician clinicians

The Academy is pleased to offer AAD’s 2016 PQRS reporting option—for use in DataDerm—for eligible non-physician clinicians working in an AAD member’s dermatology practice.

NPCs must attest every year to receive access to the PQRS module and DataDerm. See attestation form below.

As outlined by CMS, all physician assistants (PA), nurse practitioners (NP), clinical nurse specialists (CNS), and advanced practice registered nurses (APRN) are potentially eligible to report PQRS measures in 2016. To be eligible for participation in Medicare’s PQRS, non-physician clinicians must bill Medicare under their individual National Provider Identifier (NPI) numbers, where the rendering provider’s individual NPI is entered on a CMS 1500-type paper or electronic claims form.

NPC attestation process

All NPCs must first have an AAD member ID before they can be enrolled in DataDerm and purchase PQRS.

Step 1: Have an AAD member dermatologist download and complete the attestation form below, which attests that the non-physician clinician is affiliated with an AAD member’s practice.

Step 2: Email the completed form to dataderm@aad.org for processing.

Step 3: The NPC will be assigned a member ID and will be approved for DataDerm access and PQRS purchasing.
