On March 4, voting opens for the 2017 AAD election. The Academy has established a new two-week timetable for members to cast their ballots, so make sure you vote by March 18.

2017-election-navMenu-copy.pngDermatology is facing many challenges in the year ahead, and we need strong leaders to strengthen the specialty.

A new administration in Washington offers both challenges and opportunities for our specialty. It’s imperative that we be represented by strong leaders who can help the specialty:

  • Provide relief from regulations impacting the practice of medicine2017_NewTimeline_Voting Banner
  • Protect patient access to treatments
  • Preserve physician-led dermatologic care
  • Promote access to appropriate use of teledermatology
  • Make health plan networks transparent
  • Prioritize skin cancer prevention

The Academy recently announced the slate of candidates for the 2017 election. I encourage all members to visit the AAD election site to learn more about the candidates, and take the time to vote between March 4 and March 18.
