In 2015, the Academy launched the ICD-10 Community to help members get fast, accurate answers to their questions about the new coding system. We received hundreds of questions from members and the AAD’s coding experts helped minimize the confusion and frustration of transitioning to ICD-10.

The initiative was such a success that the Academy has decided to launch a community for all coding questions. This new member benefit will allow you to submit coding questions to the Academy’s experts, who will review and respond to your question within 48 hours of submission.

The community archives the questions and answers, making this a valuable resource for all Academy members.

Joining the Coding Community is easy.  Simply follow the steps below.

How do I get to the Coding Questions Community?

1. Access Member to Member Communities at Login to the community using your AAD Web credentials.

2. Join the Coding Questions Community by navigating to “Communities>All Communities>Coding Questions” and then click the “Join” button on the right side of the page.

Once you've clicked the Join button, you’re officially part of the community and can post your questions!

How do I submit my question to the coding experts?

There are two ways to post your question to the community. Use either the Latest Discussion Posts section or the Discussion tab at the top of the page. Your question will not appear on the site immediately as all questions will be subject to review. If approved, your question and the expert's answer will be published to the community within 48 hours.
