Apply for aad membership

Complete applications along with all required documentation must be submitted before any benefits are provided, including registration to any AAD Meeting. Please allow 7-10 business days for review of application. Once applicant is informed of pending member status, an additional 2-3 business days are required to extend member pricing for any meeting. Note: Meeting deadlines apply. To receive the member registration rate for Summer Meeting, membership must be in good standing by Wednesday, July 12, 2017.

Fellow
Available to physicians certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology, Osteopathic Board of Dermatology, or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. 

Associate (U.S. and Canadian only)

Open to physicians who have completed residency training in dermatology and are eligible to become certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology, Osteopathic Board of Dermatology, or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Note: Dermatologists currently in a fellowship program do not need to apply for membership; complimentary graduate member status will continue through completion of fellowship training.

International fellow/electronic membership (Dermatologists outside the United States and Canada)

Open to dermatologists who reside outside the United States or Canada who have obtained board certification equivalent to that of the American Board of Dermatology or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Electronic membership is open to dermatologists in developing countries. Deadline for application and supporting documentation is Nov. 1. Learn more about international fellow/electronic membership.

Affiliate

Affiliate membership is available to:

  • Dermatopathologists who are board-certified in dermatopathology and are not eligible to be a fellow or associate member.
  • MDs who are eligible to be international fellows, and reside in the US or Canada.

Adjunct

Adjunct membership is available to:

  • Researchers, including PhD holders and other scientists, that devote a major portion of their time to dermatologic research.
  • Veterinarians who specialize in veterinary dermatology.
  • Corporate individual.
