Fraud warning

Several companies unaffiliated with the AAD or Experient, Inc., have been posing as the official registration and housing provider for the 2020 Annual Meeting. These companies may contact you directly to offer registration and/or housing for the Annual Meeting through websites designed to deceive visitors by posing as an AAD website.

Do not give your credit card information or make any reservations with any website other than our legitimate registration and housing partner, Experient, Inc.

Global Education DayThursday, March 19 - Select international societies will be holding independent sessions.
Educational sessions
Educational sessions will end at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24.
Exhibit hall
The exhibit hall will be open Friday, March 20, and Saturday, March 21, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday, March 22 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Visa application guidelines and procedures: Information about United States visa requirements and procedures can be found on the website of the Department of State.

Climate: In March, Denver, Colorado, has an average high of 57°F (14°C) and average low of 29°F (-2°C).

Tipping: It is customary to tip bartenders, waiters, and cab drivers between 15 to 20%. Hotel staff also expect to receive tips. Bellhops can be tipped $1 to $2 per bag, while doormen and valet car servicemen should receive $1 to $2. You may provide a tip for maid service (housekeeping) at your hotel by leaving $2 to $3 per night either on the bed or the table next to the bed.

Dress/attire: Business casual is appropriate for the meeting. Some meeting rooms might feel cold, so a sweater or light jacket might be helpful. Comfortable shoes are recommended as there are long walking distances within the convention center.

Emergency: In case of emergency, dial 911 from any phone.

Exchange rate: Help plan your trip by checking the current exchange rate of your currency in US dollars.

Time zone: The United States has four time zones: Eastern, Central, Mountain, and Pacific. Denver is located in the Pacific Time Zone.    

Electricity: The United States uses 110-120 volts AC (60 cycles).

Internet: Most hotels offer complimentary high-speed internet connections in the lobby of their hotel. There is variation in cost (free to per diem charge) with regard to high-speed internet that is offered in sleeping rooms. Your hotel will display the rate.

Letter of invitation

For international registrants who require a letter of invitation, you will need to first complete your registration, which will begin in November. 

Upon completion of your registration, the online registration system will automatically generate your letter of invitation for printing. You will receive your letter via email to the address provided during registration. 

Letters of invitation for guest registrants will only be provided if the accompanying individual has completed his or her meeting registration.

Due to security concerns, letters will only be issued to registrants who have completed registration by March 11, 2020 at 12 p.m. noon (CT).
