The new AAD VMX: Virtually all you need to know

The age of virtual meetings has arrived and the AAD has stepped up to bring members a comprehensive, cutting-edge event that can be experienced without stepping outside. AAD VMX will launch Friday, June 12 and will have live components run through Sunday, June 14. It will offer more than 27.75 CME credits and will include 14 robust sessions covering topics such as therapeutics, cosmetics, psoriasis, hair disorders, and more.

The meeting will include key sessions you will recognize, including a Plenary session and several vital scientific sessions. There’s also (fanfare and drumroll) four late-breaking research sessions that will happen live during the meeting. These will include new research in clinical studies, pediatrics, basic science, cutaneous oncology, and clinical trials. The meeting will also feature live Q&A.

More than 900 posters will be “on display” during the meeting, and poster award winners will be announced at the close of the meeting.

AAD VMX also has a comprehensive section devoted to residents that will include live online versions of Conquer the Boards, Board Prep, and a “Resident Challenge,” as well as four sections covering basic self-assessment of dermatopathology. Residents will also be able to avail themselves of the Job Board and Resident Networking sections.

In a virtually realized Member Center, attendees will have the opportunity to interact at the AAD Resource Center and be able to attend “Stars of the Academy.” The Member Center will also have a place for Individual Donors, a spot for Preferred Providers, and a JAAD room. And the sky (or the cloud?) is the limit on networking with areas for those seeking other residents, private practitioners, and those in academics.

More than 30 exhibitors will be on display online in the Exhibit Halls.

Corporate will be featured in a variety of ways, with a Corporate Directory and a special event honoring Immediate Past President George Hruza, MD, MBA.

And, just like all our meetings, AAD staff will be on hand for member and technical support. It’s a meeting you won’t want to miss, and one you won’t have to. Register online today.
