Session will present advances in cosmetic and dermatologic surgery
“Dermatologists are constantly making advances in the realm of dermatologic surgery and cosmetic dermatology,” said Dr. Cronin, who is an associate voluntary professor at University of Miami Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery and runs the Cronin Skin Cancer Center in Melbourne, Florida.
“Since this is a very broad topic, I will be breaking it down into a partial literature review and a presentation of practical pearls that every dermatologist can use in their practice.”
Dr. Cronin will discuss a wide range of topics, including the recent pandemic that is affecting all dermatologists. “I plan to go over new research on HPV, new ways to stop bleeding, the impact of COVID-19 on dermatologic surgery, new aesthetic concepts in biostimulation, and much more,” he said.
He added the virtual format for the presentation may be an asset to the learning experience. “Hopefully by watching this lecture on their computers, the VMX audience will have ready access to the reference articles that I cite, making it easier to explore the learning from primary sources more deeply.”
