Hotel accommodations and reservations

The hotel reservation deadline is Wednesday, January 24, 2018.

Guest rooms are being held for meeting registrants at several major hotels in San Diego, CA, for those booking through the AAD Housing Office at AAD discounted meeting rates. For a current listing of official AAD hotels and map, click the link below.

Hotel reservations must be made in conjunction with registration for the meeting. Availability cannot be guaranteed for reservations received after the housing deadline of Jan. 24, 2018, at 12 p.m. (CT).

Depending on demand, additional hotels may be added and information is subject to change at any time.

Hotel guarantee, cancellation, and change policies

Hotel reservation guarantee policy

Reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card. The credit card expiration date must be later than February 28, 2018. The card provided will be charged a one (1) night’s room and current sales tax deposit the week of January 22, 2018.

Hotel reservation cancellation policy

Before Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 12 p.m. (CT), a $100 per reservation cancellation fee will be processed to the credit card listed for your guarantee. This fee is applicable regardless of cancellation reason or method.

After Wednesday, January 10, 2018 12 p.m. (CT), a one (1) night’s room & current sales tax per reservation will be processed to the credit card provided for your guarantee (see Hotel Reservation Guarantee Policy above). This fee is applicable regardless of cancellation reason or method.

Starting Monday, January 29, 2018, you may contact the hotel directly for changes & cancellations. Phone numbers for the main host hotels will be posted on the AAD website.

Failure to show on day of anticipated arrival
Failure to check-in on the scheduled date of arrival will result in a “no-show fee” of one (1) night’s room & current sales tax and cancellation of the reservation.

Hotel reservation changes

Before Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 12 p.m. (CT), changes can be made online by clicking the link provided in the “Change” section of your confirmation letter or the “Already registered” section of the registration website.

Between Wednesday, January 24, and Monday, January 29, 2018, reservations are being transmitted to the hotels. No changes or cancellations to hotel reservations will be accepted during this time period.

Starting Monday, January 29, 2018 until check-in, changes need to be made directly with the hotel. Arrival and departure date changes will be accepted until hotel check-in date and are based on hotel availability.

Note: Switching hotels after January 24, 2018 will result in the loss of the one (1) night room and current sales tax deposit.
