AAD Annual Meeting Registration Scholarship Program

The International Affairs Committee of the American Academy of Dermatology offers attendance scholarships to international dermatologists to encourage their participation at the Academy's Annual Meeting. Dermatologists from all countries (with the exception of  the United States and Canada) are eligible to apply, with the limit of two applicants per country. The 2016 Annual Meeting will be held March 4-8 in Washinton D.C..

The scholarships include complimentary registration for the meeting and admission to one post-graduate ticketed session, and an invitation to a dinner with AAD leadership on Thursday, March 3. Since 2006, the International Affairs Committee has awarded more than 450 scholarships to dermatologists from 75 countries.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Be a dermatologist.
  • Submit an application (see below).
  • Applicants must be nominated by their national dermatological society. 
  • Officers are required to submit an online recommendation form for each applicant (up to two per country).
  • Previous scholarship recipients are not eligible.
  • Sample letter of recommendation

Applications and nominations to attend the 2016 Annual Meeting will open on May 1, 2015.
