Membership Application

Complete applications along with all required documentation must be submitted before any benefits are provided, including registration to any AAD Meeting. Please allow 7-10 business days for review of application. Once applicant is informed of pending member status, an additional 2-3 business days are required to extend member pricing for any meeting. Note: Meeting deadlines apply. To receive the member registration rate for Annual Meeting, membership must be in good standing by Wednesday, November 1, 2017.

Fellows

Dermatologists certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology, Osteopathic Board of Dermatology, or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. More information

Associates

US/Canadian residents completing their training this year or dermatologists who are or were eligible to take the exam given by the: American Board of Dermatology, Osteopathic Board of Dermatology, or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. More information

NOTE: If going into a fellowship program, have the program director contact the AAD to continue to receive a complimentary Graduate Membership.

International Fellows

Dermatologists who reside outside the United States or Canada that have obtained board certification equivalent to the American Board of Dermatology or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Electronic membership is open to dermatologists in developing countries. More information

Affiliate

Individuals who meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Dermatopathologists who are Board-Certified in dermatopathology and are not eligible to be a Fellow or Associate member.
  • Physicians who are certified in dermatology by a non-U.S. or non-Canadian board who resides in the US or Canada.

Adjunct

Individuals who meet one of the following criteria:

  • Researchers, including PhD holders and other scientists devoting a major portion of their time to dermatologic research.
  • Veterinarians specializing in veterinary dermatology.
  • Corporate individual.
