Support the Academy

The American Academy of Dermatology (Academy), founded in 1938, is the largest, most influential, and most representative of all dermatologic associations. With a membership of more than 16,000 physicians in the United States and worldwide, the Academy is committed to advancing the diagnosis and medical, surgical, and cosmetic treatment of the skin, hair, and nails; advocating high standards in clinical practice, education, and research in dermatology; and supporting and enhancing patient care for lifelong healthy skin, hair, and nails.

Your contribution to the American Academy of Dermatology will make a difference in the lives of children and adults who have skin, hair, and nail disorders, many of which are life-threatening and affect quality of life. Our deepest gratitude goes to those who have volunteered their time or financial resources to help the Academy achieve its goals through medical education, research, advocacy, and public awareness.

Please take a few minutes to review the 2007 Leaders in Giving Annual Report; a report to members, corporate partners, donors, and friends who have supported Academy programs and activities. It is with sincere thanks that we acknowledge all of the supporters whose contributions have made this another successful year.

For those who would like to make a difference, please review the options at Opportunities for Giving or see the 2010 Leaders in Giving Partnering Opportunities book. You also may contact Director of Development Elizabeth Jan Edgar, MS, at (847) 240-1037 or via e-mail at jedgar@aad.org to discuss an opportunity that achieves your goals.

Tax-deductible contributions can support the overall goals and operations of the Academy, or may be designated for specific purposes.

We invite you to review InPartnership, a publication that reports on news of the Academy for our industry partners and celebrates the work we are doing together to further the Academy's commitment to excellence in patient care, medical and public education, research, professionalism, and member service and support. We hope you enjoy this publication.
