- Formulate a basic understanding of the impact of UV light on the immunology of the skin
- Differentiate the therapeutic modalities of UV light from each other
- Recognize the role of phototherapy as an adjuvant therapy
Description:
Phototherapy is one of the most effective options for inflammatory dermatoses. However, its use in a busy practice can be daunting for staff and providers. This session will help lay out the basics of setting up a phototherapy unit. In addition experienced physicians and providers can benefit from updates in maximizing clinical response, adjuvant therapy and new wavelengths being developed. Lastly, new research will be presented on adjuvants to phototherapy.
