Following this course, the attendee should be able to:
- Assess your team members’ competencies to ensure their skills match their job requirements.
- Recognize and assess different work styles and develop strategies for engaging people with different styles and personalities.
- Assess your environment.
This is part one of a two-part program. Please also attend F026 at 3-5pm Saturday, August 18.
In order to obtain the best performance from staff and volunteers you need to recognize each member of your staff or team has unique skill sets and styles. In the first half of this two-part session you will learn techniques to help you assess and hire the right people and how to successfully integrate new hires in to your team. Tools will be offered to help you assess your current team members and understand what motivates different individuals, and learn how we each have different styles and how to adjust your own style to engage others. In addition, understanding and learning how to assess your environment will also be addressed.
Developing faculty, residents, staff and volunteers in a variety of practice settings will be addressed.
