Following this course, the attendee should be able to:
- Describe the most common benign and malignant tumors of the hand
- Compare different surgical techniques of the hand and choose the most appropriate
- Analyze the signs of aging of the hand and summarize techniques for improvement
Description:
This session will begin by detailing the most common benign and malignant tumors of the hand including descriptions of clinical presentation, pathology and treatment guidelines. Following this, the session will turn towards reviewing techniques for various surgical procedures of the hand including proper anesthesia techniques, repairs and post-operative care. The session will conclude with a detailed discussion on evaluating visible signs of aging specific to the hand and describing cosmetic treatments available to improve these.
