  • Develop the confidence to try new suturing techniques to decrease surgical complications and improve surgical outcomes.

Description:
This session will focus on the breadth of stitching techniques, including standard stitches that can be improved with slight variations, less well-known stitches that are of great utility, and innovative stitches that have promise to become standard stitches as their utility is realized. The stitching techniques will adhere to the principles of providing excellent wound edge eversion, maximizing wound edge blood supply, minimizing tension at defect edges, and optimizing surface stitching techniques for excellent cosmetic results. This is a hands-on session where attendees will be able to practice suture techniques.
