Following this course, the attendee should be able to:

  • Recognize cutaneous and systemic physical findings that characterize atypical wounds
  • Order and interpret serologic markers and other laboratory tests used in the evaluation of atypical wounds
  • Select appropriate therapy and track response parameters systemically

Description:
This forum is designed for dermatologists who want an in-depth perspective on diagnosing and treating atypical wounds. Clinical aspects, laboratory assessment and biopsy evaluation of challenging cases will be covered. There will be an emphasis on particular concerns associated with the use of new and emerging treatments.
