Learning Objectives:
Following this course, the attendee should be able to:

  • Identify clinical characteristics of overgrowth syndromes.
  • Distinguish between different overgrowth syndromes.
  • Formulate an approach to evaluating the patient with a suspected overgrowth syndrome.

Description:
This session will provide a general overview of overgrowth syndromes from the perspective of the dermatologist. Key points of focus will be clinical findings in the overgrowth syndromes, up-to-date classification of the different syndromes, approaches to the evaluation of these patients, a discussion of common complications, treatment approaches, and patient advocacy resources. The session is directed to all general dermatologists and trainees.
