Description:
Dermatologists are often required to teach or train one or more learners in their clinics, including residents, medical students, nurse practitioners and physician's assistants. Time is at a premium and teaching must be balanced with patient care. This workshop aims to provide a comprehensive toolbox of time-saving tips for effective teaching in the outpatient clinic. We discuss identifying opportunities for and methods of giving feedback. We consider and generate solutions for the common challenges of teaching in this setting. Best practices and common pitfalls are explored in an interactive format through cases and video clips.
