Following this course, the attendee should be able to:
- Recognize the new and revised terminologies for HPV-associated squamous lesions of all lower anogenital tract body sites (cervix, vulva, vagina, penis, anus and perianus)
- Evaluate the diagnostic utility of select molecular markers for HPV-associated squamous lesions of the lower anogenital tract body sites
Description:
This session will feature the final histological terminology recommendations made at the LAST (Lower Anogenital Squamous Terminology) Consensus Conference held in Conjunction with the ASCCP Meeting, on March 13-14, 2012 in San Francisco, CA with participation by leading pathologists and clinicians in the field. Participants will increase their state-of-the-art understanding of HPV-associated squamous lesions of the lower anogenital tract and enhance communication with their clinical colleagues regarding the diagnosis and clinical management of preneoplasia and early HPV related squamous lesions of the anogenital tract.
