Description:
We all aim to maximize the efficiency and to reduce the frustration of the 15-minute alopecia visit. This session will guide providers in ordering the appropriate clinical tests to evaluate hair loss patients. Clinical presentations of non-scarring and scarring alopecias will be reviewed. The correct tissue sampling techniques for various alopecias and ethnicities, as well as tissue sectioning preferences, will be discussed. This session will be informative for dermatologists who are interested in honing their diagnostic and therapeutic skills in managing hair loss patients.
