2.00
Location:
Flamingo 3
Time:
3:30 PM - 5:30 PM
Director:
Christine Ko, MD, FAAD - Handout
Learning Objectives:
Following this course, the attendee should be able to:
- Identify important features at low power.
- Formulate a differential diagnosis from the low power view of a specimen.
- Predict and recognize findings at higher power that narrow the differential.
Description:
This session is aimed at residents in training. A main focus is visual perception in dermatopathology (how we see or don't see). A quick overview of over 150 different entities in dermatopathology emphasizes the low-power impression of a slide as the starting point. From the initial impression, features at higher magnification that lead to the correct diagnosis are highlighted.
