- Analyze the evidence associated with risks of isotretinoin and oral contraceptives.
- Examine the role of lasers and light treatments in the management of acne
- Summarize recent findings regarding diet and acne
Description:
This session will take an in-depth look at some controversial issues in the treatment of acne vulgaris. The risks associated with isotretinoin will be reviewed. The role of oral contraceptive pills in the treatment of acne will be evaluated. Additionally, antibiotics and laser/light treatments in acne will be discussed. Lastly, the current literature regarding diet and acne will be reviewed.
