Description:
In December 2011 the results of a survey titled Research on Perceptions of Dermatology among Physician Leaders and Medical Association Executives was presented to the AAD/A Board of Directors. Although there were positive perceptions identified by this survey, several negative perceptions of dermatology/dermatologists by their physician peers were found. The speakers will present information (the survey, their experiences and /or available data) about the perception of dermatologists by other physicians in their areas interest/expertise. Should dermatologists be concerned how they are perceived by other physicians and if so, is there something we can do to address these negative perceptions?
