- Distinguish among the ulcers encountered on the legs and feet.
- Evaluate and treat venous leg ulcers.
- Treat ulcerations with various types of debridement.
Description:
This session will provide an overview of leg and foot ulcer classification and differential diagnosis followed by a focused discussion of etiology, evaluation, treatment, and aftercare of venous leg ulcers and diabetic neuropathic foot ulcers. A detailed discussion of effective debridement and practical aspects of therapy will be directed to the practicing physician interested in wound care.
