Following this course, the attendee should be able to:
- Evaluate the risks and benefits of many of the new lasers and devices available for assisting tumescent liposuction.
- Differentiate among new devices for non-invasive fat removal.
- Identify three pearls to augment an existing liposuction practice.
Description:
This session will describe tips to facilitate, enhance, and promote a successful liposuction practice. It will also give an overview of the risks, benefits, and usefulness of new devices and lasers developed to assist tumescent liposuction. Additionally, non-invasive fat removal devices will be examined in terms of efficacy, safety, and how they may be incorporated into a practice. Clinical data will be reviewed for these new devices as available. Finally, pearls and caveats for best patient outcomes will be described. Audience participation is encouraged.
